Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an appointment for auto repair or maintenance?

Appointments are recommended so the team can be ready to work on your vehicle when it arrives. RPM AutoWorx makes scheduling easy with online booking, phone scheduling, appointment reminders, and a helpful front desk team.

Unscheduled drop-offs may be worked into the schedule when possible, but scheduled appointments are prioritized.

You can schedule online, call, or text. If you call, the team will ask what is going on with your vehicle, help you choose the best time for your schedule, and make sure you know what to expect before coming in.

Yes. RPM AutoWorx has an after-hours drop box on the front door. You can park your vehicle in the lot across the street on Grandview Avenue, leave your keys in the lockbox, and the team will follow up during business hours.

Vehicles dropped off after hours are worked into the schedule around already-booked appointments.

Yes. You will receive a price before repair work begins. RPM AutoWorx explains what was found, what is recommended, and what the repair will cost before moving forward.

Customers receive separate cash and card pricing, so you know your options before approving the work.

It depends on the service, the issue, and parts availability. Many routine visits, such as oil changes, inspections, and smaller repairs, may be completed in under 1-2 hours while you wait when scheduled.

If a part needs ordered, the team will let you know, get it ordered as quickly as possible, and schedule you back in so you can keep your vehicle on the road.

If your vehicle does not pass PA inspection or emissions testing, a mechanic will explain what failed, why it matters, and what needs done to make your vehicle safe and compliant.

When possible, inspection-related repairs may be completed the same day. If the repair requires more time or parts, the team will explain the next steps clearly.

Yes. RPM AutoWorx performs PA state safety inspections and emissions testing. The shop also handles many inspection-related repairs if something needs fixed before your vehicle can pass.

RPM AutoWorx performs a complimentary vehicle health checkup with paid service. It is less extensive than a full PA state inspection, but it helps identify visible, noticeable, or obvious concerns by sight, sound, or touch while your vehicle is already in the shop.

The goal is to help you feel confident that your vehicle is safe to drive after it leaves RPM AutoWorx and to inform you of what will need to be taken care of soon.

No. The complimentary vehicle health checkup is not a full PA state inspection, emissions test, or advanced diagnostic service. It is a practical check for observable safety, maintenance, and reliability concerns.

If something requires deeper testing, inspection, or diagnostic time, the team will explain that before moving forward.

Yes. RPM AutoWorx gives practical recommendations based on safety, urgency, and the condition of your vehicle. Some issues need immediate attention. Some should be planned for soon. Others may simply need to be monitored. The team will explain whether a repair is urgent, whether it may become a problem in days, months, or years, and whether it is likely to affect safety or inspection.

No. RPM AutoWorx does not push immediate repairs unless there is a safety concern or potential for damage. You will get facts, explanations, and recommendations so you can make an informed decision.

If something can wait, our staff will tell you clearly. If something is unsafe, one of our mechanics will explain why.

Routine visits can uncover issues before they become bigger problems. During oil changes, inspections, and other services, RPM AutoWorx may identify concerns such as tire and brake wear, clogged filters, fluid issues, suspension concerns, or other visible safety and maintenance problems.

Finding these issues early can help you plan ahead and avoid surprise repairs later.

RPM AutoWorx is an auto repair and maintenance shop for passenger vehicles, light trucks, work vehicles, and commercial fleets. Services include PA inspections and emissions testing, check engine light diagnostics, engine repair, transmission diagnostics and repair, suspension repair, radiator repair, electrical repair, brakes, tires, AC and heating repair, exhaust, steering, oil changes, and other routine maintenance.

RPM AutoWorx does not provide auto body repair or rebuild engines or transmissions. If a repair is better handled by a specialist, the team will tell you.

Yes. RPM AutoWorx keeps track of your vehicle history, estimates, and previous service. That helps the team understand what has already been done, what has been recommended, and what may need attention later.
